I've been reimagining the Ace Attorney anime — here's my concept
I've spent a long time thinking about how Ace Attorney could be adapted properly. Not just a retelling, but a deeper version with proper character arcs, filler episodes that actually matter, and a focus on themes like justice, redemption, and betrayal.
Here are some of the key changes I'd make:
Mia gets time to live. Mia appears in a new case and a filler episode before her death — and in a flashback case after her death. You get to know her from multiple angles. When she dies, it hurts.
Franziska gets a full backstory. We see her childhood, her relationship with Manfred Von Karma and Miles Edgeworth, and her journey from revenge to justice.
The Judge becomes a character. He has a name, a family, and a personal arc.
Larry gets depth. He's not just comic relief — he has trauma, motivation, and a real arc.
I've also planned new cases, like one where the Judge is the defendant, and his brother is the culprit. And I've created new characters like Sakura, Larry's girlfriend, who connects to the Fey clan.
I don't have every detail written out yet — I'm still fleshing things out. But I'd love to hear what you think. Would you watch something like this?
Oh! And I'm also bringing back the original game music — every iconic track from the games will be used. And yes, I'm including 'Rise From The Ashes', which was cut from the original anime. This is a serious adaptation, not a rushed retelling.
