(EU) Please be careful about Sky scams

So my mum recently got scammed by people pretending to be from sky (The UK boardband) saying that she has got a free laptop for her bills going up.

She got the item but later that day the same people called and said "oh sorry you were meant to get a ipad" she returned it to this person who was NOT from sky and ordered the ipad - same thing happened, she gave it back.

She has now called sky and have been informed that it is a scam, she's frozen everything and I feel so sorry for her like what joy do you get from scamming people.
