I sort of feel sorry for Jenma.

From the way I see it, Lisa doesn't have the brain capacity to be an artist. Someone called her Shein personified, and that is what she is. She thinks expensive cars, houses, designer stuff & a rich boyfriend and BAM she is the best thing ever...

But (and I might get downvoted for this) I think Jenma actually aspires for something more. **She wants to be seen cool, like she is above it all** (the celebrity, idol life, fame & wealth). Even from Ruby — before she had this "artistic" turn — she was going for respect & coolness unlike Lisa who plastered herself to everywhere like a damn sticker.

The simple thing is though: **she doesn't have what it takes to back it up.** No skills and musical artistry to earn that respect she craves.

And she was never told the truth because of her privilege: rich kid, nepo baby, YG's princess, Jeremy oppa's payola queen, her fans' poor victim lol... Everybody pampered her to the degree that she thought:

* she could pull off performing those festival spots where her glazers wouldn't be the only ones attending
* she could push out bad "personal/artistic" music that isn't designed by a room full of actually skilled people to be the most catchy/marketable/well-produced thing ever

I really think she thought she could have this era & be remembered as her "artistic era." But now not only she is still not considered a cool/actual artist by the people who matter to her (not her rabid fans but actual indie, alternative people, preferably white/American lol) but her glory as an idol is also tarnished.

She thought these brands, celebrities, people etc were for her cause she was the shit. Even her fans are turning on her for flopping commercially. **No one cares about her if she isn't commercially successful, because there is nothing else she offers.**

**+ Debnever issue:**
I also think her close relationship with debnever and working with her is a testament to this. Debnever had been in the US indie scene for a while and, whether you like her music or not, she is at least capable of making her own songs. She is interesting, queer, artistic (correct me if i'm wrong but apart from her business networks all her American friends are also deb's friends - not that i care, but i think she does). Despite being a bigger star, I KNOW Jennie feels inferior to her deep down. Perhaps that is why she employed her on "Fallen Angel." And although her fans are rabid monsters for what they wrote in Deb's comments; they are right, her music was never going to work with Jennie who can't sing over those instrumentals at all and who can't sell a song if the song isn't made to be trendy/catchy or heavily backed by payola.

A rant: Jennie's privilege and ego will be her downfall.
