Hack to make no tip dashes worth it.
I have a few hacks I like to use that make doing dashes with no tips worth my time and im wondering if im the only one who does things like this. Now I wanna preface these methods by first saying that Doordash is a service industry and without tips we cant afford gas insurance or maintenance on cars. Not tipping service industry workers is a growing trend in America and its disgusting in my opinion. I believe if workers dont push back it will get much worse and before you chime in with your soulless drone reply "well, im a mature adult and i just dont accept the orders with no tips" I wanna just say there are times Doordash forces us to deliver no tip orders over and over and over again. A good example of this happened to me about a month ago. A customer wanted free food so they reported the order never arrived even though I delivered it with a photo and corresponding GPS. This caused my rating to drop from gold to silver. After that I had to take about 20 no tip dashes before I was back in gold and when I say I was dashing JUST for gas in 90 degree weather for about 2 days miserable as hell that is not an understatement. So I began thinking of ways to make those dashes I was essentially being FORCED to do worth my time. One such method was leaving the food at the end of the driveway and then marking it delivered and waiting in my truck for the customer to say something rude when they got it then id tell them ( with my voice not in the app ) they didnt leave a tip and that I drove 10 miles for 3$. Im not bringing it to the door when I have to pay out of my pocket to deliver their food. Another method I came up with was swapping what they ordered with a 99 cent item so I get a free lunch and the blame goes on the restaurant. I have a few other hacks but im wondering what you guys do to avoid being made into a literal slave by the doordash corp?
