AITA if I take back my father’s clubs from my brother?

I (21F) have 2 older brothers (28M) and (29M). Our dad died around 14 yrs. ago, most of his stuff got given away. Only the sentimental pieces were kept around, that includes the golf clubs… (+drill)

My brother (28M) started using it when he got into golf. He didn’t tell me or our mom or anyone in the house that he was gonna borrow it, we just checked the storage one day, wondered where it was and asked if he had it. True enough he did have it, he would use it with his wife’s family (her cousins and siblings). I was upset that he took it without saying, in my mind he should’ve asked my other brother and I first if we were cool with it. Especially since he won’t be the only one using it. Also the clubs were very old (it was a pass me down from one of our dad’s boss) we were afraid that it would break that’s why we purposely refrained from using it.

Anyways I continued to let it go thinking that I was making a big fuss over it, until I asked him if he was gonna take the clubs back to our family house once he returns overseas (he’s gone for 6 months). He said that I don’t really play, so it makes more sense to keep the clubs at his house from now on so that his wife’s family had clubs to use when they go play without him.

IDK i really dont know where to put my feelings on this. I talked to my mom and she agrees that he shouldn’t have taken it without asking my brother and I. She said it wouldn’t make her feel nice either if it was her stuff being passed around. My other brother agrees with me and understands where I’m coming from but also doesn’t wanna side with anyone (he’s always like this). He is upset tho that our dad’s drill was another victim, when 28M returned it, the drill was broken lol. He tried to reason that the drill was already broken when he used it despite no one believing him. Our aunty fully agrees with me and even says that he always takes our dad’s stuff without telling us and it’s one of the reasons why they don’t get along, he only puts it back because she makes him to.

Anyways fast forward to now, he left like 2 months ago and I still think about this. We’re visiting his house in 2 weeks, my mom said that we’re taking it back without telling him.

Is this petty? When we try to talk to him about other similar stuff like this he doesn’t respond well, so it seems like this is the best option
