Bringing back The Bloodline is one of the laziest decisions Fed has made. Never ending the Death Riders is one of the best decisions the Dub has made.

The Fed bringing Bloodline back completely undoes a lot of the good that came out of the original storyline. It was a pretty rare example of a long-term storyline actually having an emotional payoff. A lot of people were calling that period peak Triple Nose creative, and honestly, it deserved the praise. It feels like the Fed has panicked and decided to bring The Bloodline back because they know people liked it the first time.

The problem is… the original story was finished. Jey has suddenly forgot everything that happened and reverting back into essentially the same generic heel dynamic. It also makes Reigns feel less special. Now it feels like WWE is trying to recreate that feeling by simply putting the old pieces back together. And that’s what makes this feel so cheap to me. It comes across as “the current stuff isn’t working, so let’s bring back something people used to like.”

The original Bloodline worked because it was building towards something. Dragging everyone back into it now just makes that payoff feel less important.

You see, this is a totally legitimate take because despite every assumption we have made about this story largely being incorrect or exaggerated, clearly the Fed has no long term plan this time. The Bloodline has all the titles and is domin… wait what do you mean only Reigns is champion… and what do you mean he’s been winning this matches clean… and what do you mean there are new family dynamics with Jacob Fatu and The Usos that are coming to ahead?

Real family members getting back together is beyond the pale for me. I prefer the Death Riders in the Dub. You see, there was this long, involved storyline where they ran roughshod over the Dub, and it paid off beautifully in a moment at All In where the Main Character of Wrestling, our Millennial Cowboy, finally overcame them in a reheated nachos match that basically replicated the “end” of the Bloodline at WrestleMania 40.

But you know what the Dub did that set the Death Riders apart from the Bloodline? They just … never ended. It required the entire company to take them down. Yet they wrestled the next night like nothing had changed. Whereas Bloodline has elevated multiple members, the Death Riders works because no one gets elevated. So you never have to end it to even consider putting it back together.

Thank you for reading my 500 word Fed Bad dissertation filled with assumptions. Clearly I’ve never seen sequel films or restarted TV series in my life.
