[hoo] what if percy did not remember Annabeth in Son of Neptune?

I am asking this cause he was already having a great life there he was the under dog INSANELY POWERFUL compared to the others and the praetor of the legion wanted to be his of not mention he himself also became a praetor and also got good friends (hazel and frank).So if he did not remember Annabeth why would he try to remember his old life?
