Any 2025 grads here?
I just received a job rejection from a job I applied to 3 weeks ago that I thought I had a really good chance at progressing in. There were 3 stages during the application process and I had made it through to stage 2, but stage 3 was the actual assessment centre (AC) and I did not make it. The AC is supposed to start in a few weeks and I’m so upset because I thought I did really well in stage 2 and did enough to progress to the AC but clearly not.
I’m a 2025 graduate and the job market was so difficult for me to navigate last year. I also went through something extremely traumatic (to the point of police involvement, I was a victim) so dealing with this along with my final year of studies and applying to jobs all at the same time was extremely difficult.
I’m beyond upset because this job felt like my ‘last chance’ even though I know it’s technically not, but it feels like it at this moment and seeing articles about people not finding jobs until years later is depressing as fuck. I don’t know how to cope anymore. I’m already living in a toxic household and seeing my peers (mid-late twenties) progressing in their careers makes me even more upset.
