Have you ever been on a Butlins Big Weekender?

I've never been on one of these before, or to butlins at all as a kid (because we were too poor of a family so it was always the Pontins in southport/prestatyn or John Fowler's in Ilfracombe if we were lucky enough to get money from the family fund)

but anyway, I kept getting adverts for these Butlins Big Weekenders on Channel 4 catch-up, so I had a nosey and now i'm thinking of booking onto the rock/metal one in minehead butlins next january.

So i'm curious to know:

• what was it actually like?

• was there lots to do?

• did you have a good time?

• did you think it was good value for money?

any answers appreciated and thank you if you've taken time to reply :)
