Print Speed Upgrade

Hey all I've been using the epson et2900 printer for about a month and its been great but it does print fairly slow with the settings I have set on it. I have bidirectional printing on and haven't noticed a drop in quality but I do have the "thick paper" setting to try and prevent the roller dots but those attempt are mostly futile at this point. At this point I'm the proxy guy for my friends and I'm printing full decks for myself and friends and was looking to make a speed upgrade.

In this post I'm curious to see if the acclaimed 8550 or 8500 ecotanks can print much faster and not have the roller dots on them. Also leave suggestions for printers that aren't the 8550 and I'll check them out.
