pay cut worth it for schools?

Discussion

Hi everyone! I am currently working in Delaware in home health full time and it has been a challenge for me. I was contacted by a local school district and offered a position to be their full time OT. I am interested but they have to still verify my experience and my salary will be 60-65,000 for working 188 days a year. I currently make around $95,000. Is it worth the pay cut? I am worried it will be too low to live on. I do have a partner I live with and my monthly fixed expenses are around 2K for rent, my car, and student loans. What do you guys think, is it doable without too much financial strain?? I do like my home health job but it has been taxing on my body and I have a back injury that gets irritated with driving. It would be nice to have a routine and make a difference in the schools. I wish life wasn’t so expensive these days!
