Erase one piece of technology from history

I hope this is the right kind of hypothetical for this subreddit - here it is

You have a magic time bomb. You set the location, date, and blast radius. (There’s another division that handles time bombs for genocidal maniacs, so don’t get caught up in killing Hitler). You need to blow up either the first prototype of a new piece of technology and/or the person/people involved in its creation so that it never exists.

What would you destroy? Loose goal is improve life now in 2026

Obviously the same technology can emerge from multiple desperate people and locations, so your time bomb is either banking on that not happening, or banking on it emerging slightly differently (and better) from a different origin
