Adding rom to batocera

Just finished my GRS arcade build and it came with PC running Batocera which I know nothing about but am learning to use. The games on the external SSD have all the old gold games so I added GTfore06 rom to the mame directory via network along with the subfolder containing the .chd file as instructed but Batocera does not see the game upon restart. I noticed there is also folders called mame-03 and mame-10 so did I put these in the wrong folder or do I need to do something else? Please help as I as jacked to play this game on my 32 inch screen. Thanks
