Just need someone to say ‘you can do it’
I’m 24 just got out of uni with a decent CGPA—which made me believe I was on the right path. I wasn't, I didn’t build any solid skills, nor any eca as a fellow introvert and sad+ocd+adhd diagnosed person. So even though I get recruitment calls I ghost them as I have this irritational fear that I wouldn’t be able to sustain the job and get kicked out. And this fear was with me throughout my life. For every small/big dreams I reject myself before anyone can reject me. Always have the worst possible thing that could happen as my first thought. Anytime I stumble upon a hardship I try to leave it in the past never ever try to overcome it. Not once in my life have I ever wanted something so bad and worked for it. To add onto that there’s not a single person in my life who supports me. Also I never genuinely had to put that much effort in anything to get a result out of it so never even get the taste of what it feels like to put effort and get the fruit of my own hard work not just lucky. So moving the way I’ve been moving made more sense.
But now I‘ve decided to build the skills I’ve been lacking to at least get one step closer to my professional goals which requires months of work. Which makes me even more doubtful, constantly overthinking about how I’m already old and time’s running out,how all my friends and everyone around me have already reached that step and moving forward and how even after all that o might not succeed/stuck in that continuous what-if loop. And not to mention because of my adhd paralysis I keep procrastinating like my life depends on it. But I’m done. I wanna be done. I want at least one person to tell me it’s okay to start over, there's time and I can do it.
