Questions about welcome week

Hi everyone, Im starting my course this september in edinburgh and Im kinda confused about welcome week.

1. I know it starts on the 7th, but what time are we meant to go to the campus

2. Is there a specific place on the campus were meant to go to or do we just wander.

3. I saw on the website its mandatory so i wanted to know if its ok to miss a day

Any help appreciated, thanks.
