Need career advice

I graduated with a Bio degree major in microbio. It’s been tough looking for jobs related to my program because QA/QC roles compete with other graduates from Chem and Food Tech, and most prefer those with the Chem license and experience. I have applied to over 100 jobs in a span of a month.

This is why I started applying to different roles unrelated to Biology. I just got a job offer for 25k in a corpo position. This offer is really bigger compared to other entry level jobs, especially those related to my field. Plus, it’s close to where I live.

I am here to ask if do you think it’s good career-wise to take the job? I’m just scared if in the future I want to take on a more microbio-related role that I wouldn’t be able to get in due to my first job out of college being unrelated to my degree.

Thank you so much, hope to hear your advice.
