I think I killed my 2025

I bought my 2025 Soul in May. 32,000 miles. Yesterday I heard a low sound (not knocking or whining or anything) when accelerating but everything seemed fine. The oil level has been fine. Today the oil light came on and the engine shut off. It looks like there’s no oil.

I’m waiting on a tow now. From what I’m reading I’ll need a whole new engine. Is this something that warranty would fix? Could I trade the car in for another one and pay the difference if that ends up being less than a new engine? I have no idea what you do if you have a catastrophic failure when you still owe so much on a car loan.
