Is it just my luck, or are gas stations being less consistent in keeping receipt paper stocked at the pump?

I travel quite often for work and need to keep track of my receipts for reimbursement. More often than not, the gas stations I fill up at have no receipt paper at the terminal, and I have to go inside to get my receipt from the cashier.

It's no inconvenience to me, but does make me wonder.
