Canadian hobby perfumers — how do you ship your perfumes?
I'm hoping some Canadian hobbyists here have figured this out.
I'm not a business. I just want to send a family member a 30 mL bottle of alcohol-based perfume I made as a gift.
Canada Post told me flat-out no. FedEx referred me to a dangerous-goods consultant.
I understand that alcohol-based perfume is technically dangerous goods, but there has to be a reasonable way for a hobbyist to occasionally send a tiny bottle of perfume within Canada without becoming a certified commercial shipper.
So, Canadian perfumers: how are you legally shipping small bottles to friends, family, or other hobbyists?
I'm looking for the proper way to do it, not "just don't tell them what's in the box." 😂
Thank you for your help.
