Got a VM for LuaTool

I’m thinking about installing Linux on my host and windows on the VM so that I can run LuaTool on it and prevent getting a ban on my main account. If I did so I would have to give the VM direct access to my GPU or games run poorly or not at all. 1, what are the chances I get hardware banned? 2, is this a decent workaround or am I completely missing something better? Sorry if this is slightly off topic, I just figured the pirate community would have some good input on the matter
