What do men realistically actually add to a relationship?

There’s endless spiel on how women don’t need men - and I get it. Women can make their own money, get sex (basically) whenever they want, they don’t need us for protection, for emotional needs, etc. so what are men actually adding to a relationship beyond a bit of extra income? And why are there so many women on dating apps, and subreddits similar to this? In this dating world I cannot be convinced they’re not the ones with all the cards (discussion for another time). What can a man realistically give to the average woman?

It raises the question, what is even the point of a heterosexual relationship? I should imagine years ago its purpose was to procreate, but that’s not the case anymore. The average man would definitely not like a world consisting of only men, yet the average woman wouldn’t be so against a world of only women.
