Started new internal role. Overwhelmed and depressed. Do I ride it out or will it look bad if I leave?

I started working at my company a-little over 3 years. My first role was extremely low stress and my first job out of college. It was hybrid but with my team being so small, it really was just going into office 2-4x a month. The job was great in terms of work life balance, super stress free, but the pay was lower and I didn’t see a lot of up upward growth.

I transferred to a new role in May of this year which paid 20% more. There is a lot more work to do and it’s WFH.

It started off good and I was excited for the challenge, but there has been little training (maybe 1 full day worth) which was fine until I was given the task of taking on the workload of another team.

The manager for the other team I was assigned to is new as well and just assigned me tasks with no guidance. I thought I was waiting on someone to guide me and now I am behind and overwhelmed. There was clear lack of communication, which I told him about and felt better after we talked, but I still feel behind in all aspects of my job and unable to catch up. I am planning to meet with my direct manager tomorrow and discuss this but would it be wrong to start looking for other jobs? I literally have been crying for the past month out of anxiety and I feel so dumb.

I think working all from home is hard on me (27 year old) and is making this all even feel worse. I see positions that pay more and I think it might just be time for a change. But would being in this new position for only 4 months look bad on resume / other jobs? Or is it not as bad as it’s an internal transfer?

I have applying to other jobs with hybrid schedules and I think it might be time to change.
