Post-Silver Bullet Divorce dating
If you've been through a high conflict divorce with allegations of DV, there are at least a couple of big considerations if you ever decide to begin dating again. (ie you didn't learn your lesson the first time).
First, there may be stuff online about DV charges, even if later thrown out, which could follow you for a long time.
The second thing is overcoming the paranoia of knowing that a new person you're becoming intimate with can, at any moment, decide to push three little buttons on their phone, be willing to lie to the cops and thus destroy what's left of your life. I'm overstating the scenario to make a point, but just like women have to be careful about getting involved with a potentially abusive asshole, men need to beware of crazy, even mentally ill women out there. I'm not aware of an online background check that would flag this risk or, say, a FB group for men that's the equivalent of AWDTSG, so I guess we just have to rely on our own discernment and decide what risks we're willing to take. And my limited experience has unfortunately borne out the stereotype that great sex early on is a good indicator of the potential for Crazy with a capital C.
