Are vases an elder scrolls troll?

Has anyone ever found a single useful item in a vase? I’ve played through the game thrice and have no vase booty to show for it. Eventually I just stopped checking them, but maybe that’s what the developers wanted me to do…

Used to check every vase in elder scrolls for lock picks and such. This seems like an almost intentional troll. Thoughts?
