Car breaking down on a bridge - what do you do?
My car is a bit on the fritz and it will take me some time to figure out getting a new one. I need to cross multiple highway bridges to get to work.
Anyone know what to do if your car breaks down on a highway bridge with no shoulder, eg the Queensborough? After turning on hazards, do you stay in the car and call 911 or is it a better idea to hop out the passenger side, open up the hood for better visibility, and try to climb over the barrier to the pedestrian sidewalk?
Vancouver drivers are all pretty absent minded (sorry, but true!), I feel like the risk of getting rear ended is pretty high. Thanks!!
