Has aim dressing been cranked up since the last patch?

Discussion

I’ve been playing DBD on Xbox since early 2020, and I swear the Killer aim dressing/auto-lock/aim assist has never felt this aggressive. I know what normal DBD aim feels like, and this feels noticeably different.

Since the latest patch, I’m getting an absolutely ridiculous amount of unwanted camera/attack correction that makes me whiff because the attack gets redirected into a wall, pallet, window, rock etc.

And before someone says “MMR reset” or “you’re playing against better Survivors who know how to abuse it” — I’ve considered that. But I’m experiencing the exact same thing against genuinely new/inexperienced players. It isn’t just Survivors making me miss with movement. The game itself seems to be taking control of my attack direction more aggressively than it used to.

Maybe I’m imagining it. Maybe there was an undocumented change. Maybe the aim dressing values were adjusted as part of the latest patch. But something feels off.

Has anyone else noticed this since the latest patch, particularly on console?

I’d genuinely like to know if other long-time Killer players are experiencing the same thing, because right now it feels like I’m fighting the Survivors and the game’s auto-lock at the same time.

And if BHVR did change something here, can we please get some transparency on what exactly was changed?
