I read this as an ex-christian and loved it! Recommending it to anyone interested :)
Hey everyone, I wanted to share a book from a fellow believer who has put a huge amount of time and effort into studying and writing it.
It’s called The 12 Lies of Christianity by George J. Castle.
The book takes a closer look at a lot of things Christians are usually taught without really questioning them, like the immortal soul, hell, eternal punishment, what happens after death, salvation, judgment, Satan, and even what words like "eternal" actually mean in the Bible.
A big part of the book is about going back to the sources and looking at the Hebrew and Greek, different translations, and where some of these traditional ideas came from.
You definitely don’t have to agree with every conclusion, but I think it’s worth reading if you’re someone who likes to actually dig into ancient texts and ask questions instead of just accepting something because it’s been taught for a long time.
If this sounds interesting to you, please consider checking it out or sharing it. Independent authors really depend on people helping spread the word!
