Finally making the decision to try a GLP-1.
About a year ago, both my endocrinologist and my GP suggested at least trying a GLP-1 due to my weight and elevated cholesterol. I’m 28 now and think I’m finally giving in.
I’ve gained 60 lbs since diagnosis in 2020, and in those 6 years, I’ve constantly been trying to lose weight. I know, I know, thermodynamics, so okay, yeah, sure, maybe I did something wrong.
But I am tired of my weight constantly on my mind and creeping up. And I can’t even feel physically good in my body that is constantly bloated and inflamed (even my CRP levels come back elevated).
I’m always in a state of low-grade pain. My endo is suggesting fibromyalgia, so I’m also considering that maybe a GLP-1 will truly help with inflammation.
Questions:
Has anyone felt their inflammation decrease with a GLP-1? Has your CRP actually decreased?
Did it help for weight loss?
Lastly, how did you handle digestion? I already have pretty subpar motility and wanted to try my best to avoid severe constipation.
