Just restarted Stormlight Archive

And I’m super excited to do it. I posted something about this before that I DNF’d the series years back after WOR (maybe mid-2010’s I think). I am now remembering how exciting it started, then meeting Kal, then WHAT…..he’s s slave…. Even Shallan seemed ok at first. I DNF’d initially bc she started to really irk my nerves, though I remember liking Jasnah also.

I just remember really liking this part and it’s fun to revisit. I think I have a different perspective now (and maybe a little outlet here as I get through it!). I also was trying digital books out at the time. While I got through a couple, the connection wasn’t the same as holding a physical book for something so lengthy.

Anyway, I (46m) live in south Jersey in the US. Last night the absolute craziest thunderstorm with nonstop lightning and hail for about 40 minutes rolled through my area. The thunder quite literally shook the house multiple times and sounded like it wad right outside my door and in fact, actually shorted a few breakers and triggered my doorbell. I had never experienced a storm like that! I thought the context was really cool!
