My 20yr old just checked me

I was stuck in my head yesterday . Staring at my phone, overthinking everything. My son walked in and immediately called bullshit.

"Mom, why the sad face?"

"I'm fine, just looking at my screen."

He sat down, put his stuff away, and just looked at me. So I told him what was up.

And then he said: "Mom! You are starting over. This is it. You're in it! Focus on you and forget the rest. Don't look, be in your moment. Enjoy it."

I just... gasped. Like, this man.. who I raised as a teen mom, 95% on my own just held up a mirror and showed me exactly what I needed to see.

Yes, his dad is around. But that guy? That wisdom, that presence, that ability to see his mom spiraling and pull her back? That's all me. I made that.

And suddenly I'm not stressed about starting over. I'm just... proud. Really fucking proud.
