Late 30s. Broke. Single. Living abroad.
I’m in my late 30s, single, living abroad, and pretty much broke.
I spent 10 years working at a stable company. Then I quit because I wanted to take a chance on myself and pursue a dream. I started my own business, but unfortunately, it only lasted about a year.
Now the business is gone, my bank account is basically empty, and all I have left is some unsold inventory.
I know I need to start over. I have a few ideas and I’m trying to figure out what I can do next, but honestly, having no money scares me.
Part of me wants to try again, but another part of me is terrified of failing again. I keep thinking, “What if I make the wrong decision again?”
I’m not going to sit around and give up. I know I need to do something, even if it means starting from the bottom again.
But being alone in a foreign country makes everything feel so much more overwhelming.
all my friends have enough money, stable work and got married. But It looks like that I'm only person who broke in this age so it makes me getting smaller.
I wanna be proud of my parents but feel sorry to them because I didn't make it anything till yet.
I want I'm not the one who completely hit rock bottom financially or had a major career/business failure in 30s or 40s...
Did things eventually get better?
I guess I just need to hear from people who’ve been through something similar and made it out the other side.
