Catholic friends in relationships, how many of us use contraceptives?

I’m married 11 years. My wife and I are of an age we could not manage any more kids than the 2 we have. Financially, emotionally, by any measure. So we use contraception. I know this is against catechism. My understanding is that it’s highly common practice. I’m pretty torn up about it. My wife is not Catholic. It would be awful to impose it on her. Unsure how to proceed
