When did we become roommates instead of a married couple?

We still do all the logistics fine — bills, groceries, whose turn it is to do school pickup. But somewhere in the last two years the actual "us" part quietly disappeared. We don't really talk about anything besides schedules anymore. No real conversations, no real touch, nothing that feels like romance, just two people efficiently running a household together.

I don't think either of us did anything wrong exactly. It just kind of... eroded, slowly, while we were both focused on work and kids and everything else that felt more urgent in the moment.

I brought it up last week and he agreed it's been happening, which honestly made me feel better and worse at the same time — better that I'm not imagining it, worse that we both noticed and let it slide anyway.

For anyone who's pulled out of this "roommate phase," what actually worked? Not looking for the generic "date night" answer unless it genuinely moved the needle for you specifically.
