Ok but fr, do metrics ACTUALLY matter?

My metrics are pretty bad right now, like embarrassingly so. I just started back in July and I’m almost at 150 deliveries and I still have difficulty fully understanding how metrics work, and when I try to do research via this subreddit or other places I just get more confused. Some say if your metrics are bad you’ll be deactivated, others say you won’t. Some say your offers will be affected, others say you won’t. All I want to know is DO METRICS ACTUALLY MATTER?? Will you be deactivated?? Will your offers be affected?? I feel like my offers haven’t been affected but I’ve been seeing so much conflicting information that now im worried my account will be deactivated, and I feel like no matter what I do my metrics just keep going down and not up. So if anyone actually knows the answer to this question or has advice on how to improve metrics I’d greatly appreciate it.
