3 Days no MGM, Switched to 7oh, and it's a lot worse than I thought it would be.
I haven't taken em since switching over to Kama, and honestly, I'm pretty damn proud of that.
At the same time, I don't want to pretend I'm completely off 7-OH yet. I'm currently using about 1/2 of a Kama pill every 2-4 hours to keep the withdrawal manageable. The Kama pills I have are labeled 90mg 7-OH + 10mg pseudoindoxyl per pill.
I don't really know how much 7-OH I'm actually getting from the Kama because I don't trust that the label necessarily tells the whole story, so I'm not going to pretend I can calculate an exact dose.
[em]
The biggest thing I miss about em is the duration.
With em, I could go something like 8-12 hours without feeling sick. I never actually waited that long because I was dependent and would dose before getting to that point, but the difference compared with what I'm dealing with now is huge.
I haven't taken em since switching to Kama, but I am craving it extremely badly.
Right now I'd rate the craving around 7/10.
When I'm 2-4 hours out from a Kama dose, though?
It's basically 1,000,000/10.
If I had em sitting in front of me, I honestly don't trust myself not to take it.
[What withdrawal feels like for me]
This is what my symptoms look like right now compared with roughly 2-4 hours after taking 1/2 Kama:
Symptom | Now | 2-4 hrs after dose
MGM/7-OH craving | 7/10 | 1,000,000/10 Restlessness | 4/10 | 8/10
Anxiety | 6/10 | 8/10
Irritability | 6/10 | 10/10
Depression/low mood | 4/10 | 8.5/10
Sweating | 2/10 | 1,000/10
Chills/goosebumps | 2/10 | 9/10
Muscle/body aches | 5/10 | 10/10
Trembling/shaking | 0/10 | 4/10
Runny nose/tearing | 0/10 | 0/10
Nausea | 6/10 | 8/10
Stomach cramps | 2/10 | Not rated Constipation | 0/10 | 0/10
Trouble sleeping | 9/10 | 9/10
Fatigue/weakness | 7/10 | 1,000/10
Shortness of breath with activity | 4/10 | 8.5/10
One weird thing I've noticed is that the urge to shit is one of the first symptoms I get when withdrawal starts, even before a lot of the other symptoms really kick in.
My bowel movements have been every 2-4 hours, but hey that's better than not going for a month.
[Physical functioning]
Sunday was probably the worst day recently. I'd put myself at around 25%.
Yesterday I was around 50%, and today I managed to power through work at about 50% again.
It rained Sunday, so I got lucky and didn't have to work that day.
I'm still getting the shortness of breath with activity. It doesn't completely stop me from doing things, but it does make things like rapping or talking in long sentences difficult.
The weird thing is how dramatically everything can change depending on where I am in the dosing cycle.
After dosing I can function.
Then I start getting sick again.
Then I take another half pill.
Then I can function again.
It's a pretty brutal cycle.
[Sleep]
Last night I probably got around 4-5 hours.
I was in severe withdrawal, took a pill before bed, and still woke up in hard withdrawal.
I've also been sleeping terribly in general. I rate the trouble sleeping around 9/10.
Some of that is probably complicated by being on Adderall, especially because I just got my prescription yesterday, but the sleep problems have been pretty significant since stopping em.
[Other products]
I've used other 7-OH products in the past.
My favorite smoke shop tablets were the Sevn 30mg pills, 10 per bottle, 300mg total. I used those in between my em powder packages.
Since getting off of em, though, I've only used Kama and 1 1/2 Dozo Perks Mellow Blend tablets.
I tried the Dozo Perks Mellow Blend with Angie and absolutely hated them. Whatever was in those made me feel like they had some kind of sleep medication/melatonin-type effect, and that's not something I wanted.
I currently have 3 1/2 Kama pills left, and I get paid in about 20 hours.
I'm also curious about other 7-OH products, including SR-17018, but I honestly don't know what to expect from it during or after taking it, so I'm not going to pretend I know where that road leads.
[Mentally]
My desire to quit is 10/10.
But my desire to take a huge em dose is also 10/10.
That's probably the hardest part of this.
I don't actually want to go back to being dependent on em. I want to be done with this shit.
But the craving is extremely real, especially when the withdrawal hits hard.
And I don't want to sugarcoat that part for anyone reading this who is considering using concentrated 7-OH/em products.
I'm documenting this because I want an honest record of what getting off em actually feels like for me.
I'm not claiming this is what everyone will experience.
I'm just one person documenting the process as it happens.
