Is this a realistic plan? Offshore industry
Hey everyone, Im 18M freshly out from high school thinking about taking vocational courses such as mechanic, electrical, automotive, etc.
Practically anything that applies to offshore work, then get 2-3 years experience after that , I’d take the required certification like BOSIT, BST, HUET, etc.., and start applying to foreign companies
My biggest problem is that I’m Filipino and most of the rigs I’m interested in are overseas. I know work visas, work authorization, citizenship requirements, and lack of foreign experience can make getting hired difficult
I’m open to changing my plan if there’s a smarter route. Any advice from people with experience in international careers would be appreciated.
