How do you balance investing for your future and helping your parents?
I this thought going on and have struggling a bit with it.
Once you start earning there are so many things you need to plan for emergency fund, SIP, insurance, retirement, buying a house, etc. But at the same time, you also want to help your parents, especially if they don’t have a strong financial cushion themselves.
Sometimes I feel like if I increase my investments I have less money available to help at home. But if I keep more money aside for family expenses, I feel like I am falling behind on my own financial goals.
For those who are already managing both, how do you actually divide your income between your own financial goals and helping your parents?
Do you keep a fixed amount every month for your parents and invest the rest? Or do you prioritize your own financial stability first and help whenever something comes up?
