Made a small tool that saves version snapshots of your DaVinci Resolve timelines
Hey all,
I’m a film student and I edit on the side, and I kept running into the same problem — losing track of which save was actually the good cut once I had five versions of the same project floating around.
So I made get-syncd. It uses Resolve’s timeline export to save snapshots as you work, so you can go back and look at (or restore) an earlier version instead of relying on file names to remember what changed.
It’s open source, free to use, and doesn’t require Resolve Studio or any paid subscription. Still pretty early - built it mostly to solve my own problem, but figured others might run into the same thing.
Down the line I’m hoping to lean more into git’s actual strengths and add proper multi-editor collaboration on the same project - right now it’s just for solo use.
Repo’s here if you want to poke around:

Open to any feedback, especially from people who’ve dealt with this differently.
