Cryptocurrencies Reddit made DEXs sound simple until I actually used one
Centralized exchanges are convenient as hell when I just want to deposit money, buy something, and move on with my day. A DEX gives me more control since the coins stay in my wallet, but then every transaction suddenly feels like I’m personally responsible for not screwing something up. No exchange holding my funds sounds great, right up until I’m checking the wallet address three times and wondering what that smart contract permission actually does. I still use both, but convenience and control definitely come with very different kinds of stress.
