Lost my daughter 35 weeks
I never thought I would end up on this side of Reddit. Me and my wife are beyond devastated. My wife didnt feel the baby kicking sunday night/monday morning during her usual time. Was directed to go to hospital. They found no heart beat on monitor and ultra sound. The world came crashing down from this moment. To think we are in the clear, almost at the finish line, and to have this happen. I did not even have a thought after processing this that now our daughter has to be removed. It was around 8pm and they gave options. We decided on c section. Hospital told us they night not be able to do so till 11pm or possibly later. We decided to go home and come back scheduled first in the morning. It was obviously a nightmare of a night. My wife who has been carrying around our daughter, waiting to see her, is now sleeping with her knowning she has passed. Yesterday morning, the csection showed the cord wrapped around daughter's neck 3 times. She was a breech and looks like when she was trying to flip she was tightening the cord. My wife was doing very little things a week before such as the iron board on an angle. She thinks this aided to cause the cord wrapped. Im trying to deter her from thinking like this but its very difficult and breaks my heart. She was probably flipping on her own and those exercises did nothing. We got to hold her and kiss her after before saying goodbye. I never knew true heartbreak until now. Our saving grace is seeing my 1 year old daughter smile and got a brief moment she heals me. I miss my baby. My heart goes out to anyone who has and is going through this. Im sorry I know this seems a very run through post, its very difficult to gather all the thoughts and feelings into sentences at this time.
