Stupidest things in Mac history? Let’s hear them.
My top 3:
The awful pre-iMac all-in-one’s like the Performa 5200–slow as hell fresh from the box. I had it to learn Quark but didn’t all my actual work on an ‘obsolete’ StrongARM RISC PC as it smoked it.
Dead pixels. I remember buying a PowerBook G4 and being told the two dead pixels were ‘acceptable’. I laughed and made sure they took it back without restocking fees.
The toilet seat iBook. It was actually a fun machine but I balked at the cynicism of Apple in making sure it wouldn’t cannibalise sales of PowerBooks to pro users with the daft design.
