Asked if I wanted to be exclusive and the very next day told me he is quitting his job

So I 32f met this guy 37m on the apps.. it has been going really good we mesh well and conversations flow very easy. Ticked all the boxes for me. & Last night he asked if I wanted to be exclusive and delete our apps and I said yes. Well this morning he texted me saying he is quitting his job and has nothing lined up.. Am I in the wrong if I tell him never mind this isn’t going to work if he actually quits?
