How are you keeping product packaging from morphing when scaling ai video creatives?
Having run a small lifestyle ecommerce store for a few years and been noticing the change in the demand for content skyrocketing in the past years for ad fatigue. It is a crazy workload just to keep up with the volume of testing needed, we started trying to use video generation to pump out different lifestyle angles for our products. The idea is great but the work is definitely not as easy as we thought it would be. One of the issues is that it is so frigging hard to keep brand consistency, or characters for that matter.
Logos, and what not, they all easily get wrapped or “float” when there is movement. It is super annoying because we are actually ok with the quality of the output (look it is not award winning stuff, but we need this volume and this quality is ok). However, the product identity, brand identity, needs to be consistent.
We have found some ways to improve tho. I recently tried a different workflow where we completely separated the process. Use a product image reference to lock down the product spec first. Once we know the packaging, dimensions, and colors are exactly right, we feed that static anchor frame into a separate motion pipeline to just add the movement and background elements afterward.
This helps the logo and product packaging from wrapping. I think that’s good enough for us for now but I feel like this process can be a bit clunky (or maybe it is our expectation and trusting that a lot of this can be automated).
How are you all dealing with high volume ad creatives? I honestly don’t think this is healthy but we gotta do what we gotta do.
