WA vs SA
Hello.
Looking for opinions from people who have worked for both St John WA and SAAS.
I am an experienced UK paramedic with a significant CV. I am soon potentially going to have to choose between applying for a 491 provisional visa in WA (then 191 PR after 3 years) or applying for 190 PR visa in SA. On arrival I would also likely have to find an alternative paramedic job (FIFO for example) before waiting for St John / SAAS services to open.
I have done a lot of research about WA but don’t know much about SA. Just wondered people’s opinions about the differences between the two ambulance services, and the differences between living in WA vs SA? I understand there is a big difference so this is a broad question, hence looking for people’s personal experiences.
Also, in particular how location works in both these services? Do both ambulance services place you in random remote locations with little choice in station?
Thank you
