Visiting next month: How are things right now?

Hello! My family is going on a vacation to both Jordan and Egypt in October. We’re from the US (we did not vote the orange asshole) and obviously there are plenty of stories about Iran bombing US bases in Jordan. Tour company claims they’re still running tours as normal and no issues, just wanted to see how things are day to day for the folks living there and if everything feels normal or not given the war.
