I can relate to LW - I'm extremely touchy-feely with people I am close to, but I do not hug everyone and I do not hug strangers, peers, work colleagues, etc. I also ask before I hug, even folks I have hugged before in some cases (probs overkill but hey, if it's been a year I don't know how your feelings on being arm-enfolded have altered or not unless I ask).

I'm from Eastern Europe originally and my family does not hug except at festive occasions, but everyone does the 3-kiss multi-cheek air kiss and I friggin' hate it. I always got it wrong as a child and I get it wrong today (ie, wrong cheek wrong time, don't move fast or slow enough, end up bumping heads or missing the cheek or or or just fuck that shit already I cannot do it AIEEEEEEEEEEE).
