Wfh and travel with kids?

My husband (32M) and I (30F) moved from my husbands home state of MA (where we had lived together for six years) to SC to be closer to my family who live in GA. We are both fully remote. We had planned to rent here for a year and buy a house in the suburbs, with it being about a five hour drive to my parents and a two hour flight back to Boston. We had hoped to start trying for a baby in the next few months. I was thrilled for the first time in six years to be within driving distance of my family, I am very close to them and it has been so hard living so far away. Well, my husband hates it here. Everyday he begs me to go back to MA. His family and friends are all there. I don’t want to go back to MA, my dream would be GA by my family. We had thought SC would be a compromise for both of us but now he has changed his mind about it. He has promised me if we move back that we can live wherever we want in MA, all of our PTO can be put towards traveling to see my family, we can travel as frequently as I want, and he would be happy to have them come and stay with us for extended periods of time too. This all sounds nice in theory, but I am trying to think realistically. I am able to travel back and forth to GA and work out of my parents house remotely, as could my husband. We are very fortunate for that. But how feasible would this be with children? Has anyone had a similar experience? I am imagining if had a baby in MA, perhaps I could travel to GA every few months and stay for a couple weeks, working out of my parents house. That way they too can have time with my grandchildren, and not just my in-laws who would again be our neighbors in MA. I’m just trying to find a possibility of how I could make this work. Has anyone with a remote job traveled back and forth to a different state often with their kids and made it work?
