My autistic 14-year-old son got denied public school. School starts next week, and my husband and I are DEVASTATED by the fact that he is going to have to be homeschooled again this year.

In June, I signed my autistic son up for a new school. I waited 2 months for a final decision, and it said he was denied because he got a 1 on his FAST test back in December when he did virtual school. At least my husband and I are going to homeschool him (unlike last year from February-August where all he did was watch his iPad 24/7, as it irritated my husband over the summer) but my son will be doing Khan Academy for the year. Anyone else had this experience with their children being rejected from public school?
