Did an entity try and make contact with me?

I’m (24M) going to keep this short as I feel I’ll mostly get hit with comments telling me I’m stupid and because I simply don’t know how to articulate it properly.

I’d consider myself an armchair occultist in the sense that I have analysis paralysis due to fear of the spiritual world (I’m all for it until the sun goes down and everything is quiet). I’ve also noticed myself as someone who can be very lucky, especially when I dive deep into meditation and prayer.

I need money, a few thousand dollars before the end of the year because I’ll be moving overseas and need a few months cushion for rent and after leaving my most recent job I’ve been feeling worried that finding a new job in time in order to save enough will be more difficult than I thought.

I haven’t prayed in a very long time, mostly because I don’t know who to pray to. Yesterday I got down on both knees almost curled up, closed all the curtains and prayed in complete darkness calling on “all entities that have been assisting me on my path, blessing me and have my best interest in mind” and later that night as I was about to go to bed I was bombarded with a whole bunch of symbols (and what I think are sigils?) every time I closed my eyes. Although I wasn’t exactly tired I recognised it was getting a bit late (approaching 3AM) and I absolutely hate waking up late as it makes me feel like a bum, as I was about to go to sleep I remember hearing a weird sound I can’t really describe followed by a very deep, raspy and frightening voice saying slowly “My name is-“ and I woke up immediately in fear before he finished his sentence.

I’ve had moments where I’ve almost started dreams while half asleep but this is nothing like I’ve ever experienced before.

I’m aware that this post may make me look like an idiot but there’s not really anyone else I can ask so I pretty much invite everyone’s opinion on this from the most mundane to occult POV’s.
