Went on the Dawes Glacier Cruise and the whole Dawes Glacier stop was canceled due to ship issues... the literal reason we went on the cruise.

We went on the August 16–23, 2026 sailing aboard Celebrity Solstice, which was specifically marketed and sold as the “7 Night Alaska Dawes Glacier Cruise.”

We chose this particular Alaska itinerary specifically because of the scheduled Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier experience on August 20. Seeing the glacier was not simply one activity among many for us; it was the primary reason we chose this itinerary and, frankly, the experience around which we planned the trip.

The evening before, they canceled the whole stop. We were informed onboard that the cancellation resulted from an issue with the ship.

As a result of an operational issue within Celebrity’s control, we missed the signature experience of an itinerary that Celebrity itself marketed as an “Alaska Dawes Glacier Cruise.” They gave us a $125 credit which does not, in our view, adequately recognize the significance of what was lost.

What are our options?
